La Coopérative d'intégration francophone de l'Île-du-Prince-Édouard
HOST PROGRAM
The Host Program is designed to help immigrants overcome the stress caused by adapting to their new community.
Volunteers familiar with the Canadian way of life help newcomers familiarize with the services offered and use them. They also help immigrants learn either English or French, know their new neighbours and co-workers and participate in their community activities.
Meanwhile, the Canadian volunteers learn about other countries, other cultures and other languages. They acquire new knowledge and contribute to increase the strength of their communities.
Eligible Immigrants
* Permanent residents of Canada
Volunteers
* The volunteers must be recruited from Canadian citizens or permanent residents established in the community. They must also be sincerely willing to assist newcomers in the early stages of their establishment.
The Cooperative for the integration of the French Speaking of P.E.I. offers the Host Program to all permanent residents of Canada who live in the Prince County in Prince Edward Island.
